About the Role

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our Canton team! You will handle and process industrial, commercial and contractor telephone inquiries and orders and offer solutions to drive company revenue. You must develop and maintain excellent customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.

Developing a positive and strong relationship with customers in a geographical territory or with specific types of customers (eg. Electrical contractors, industrial plants, home builders, etc.) that need our products and valued services. Become an important professional consulting asset to our customers and can become a fully commissioned salesperson (or specialist) as part of a team to service and grow our customer base and become a valuable partner along with our customers.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong working relationships with customers and prospective clients in the markets we service.
Sales Execution: Provide accurate and prompt information on pricing, product availability, and order processing. Secure and process order details efficiently.
Up-selling and Add-on Sales: Boost sales volume by using up-selling and add-on techniques to address customer needs and maximize profitability.
Collaboration with Sales Team: Communicate with the outside sales team regarding customer interactions, sales leads, and product preferences to support company profitability.
Assistance with Counter Sales: Provide support to counter sales personnel as needed for seamless customer service.
Product Promotion: Actively promote all available vendor products, maintaining gross margin levels as set by management.
Customer Issue Resolution: Address inquiries and complaints quickly to ensure equitable resolutions and high customer satisfaction.
Professionalism: Represent Furbay Electric Supply Co. positively in all communications with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as necessary or assigned by management to meet business needs.
Communication with Sales manager and team to keep up to date with customer needs.

Required Skills:

Customer Service Orientation: Ability to deliver exceptional service and maintain positive customer relationships.
Sales Acumen: Proficiency in identifying customer needs and applying up-selling techniques to maximize sales.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interactions with customers, vendors, and team members.
Attention to Detail: Accurate in processing orders and handling inquiries.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work closely with team members and support a collaborative sales environment.
Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency, including experience with order processing and inventory systems.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in sales, preferably within the electrical distribution industry.
Knowledge: Familiarity with the company's product lines, policies, and procedures.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in sales or a related field is preferred.
